Veranda Connect
A brand identity redesign project
Project Story
Veranda Connect is a social-impact energy company working across the Caribbean, Africa, and Latin America. Founded by Pearl Jarrett in response to rising energy costs in Jamaica, the company focuses on delivering clean, affordable solar and water solutions to underserved communities. The project was a full brand identity redesign, modernising the brand while staying rooted in its mission to connect and empower.

The Challenge
The original identity lacked cohesion and didn‘t fully reflect the scale or ambition of Veranda Connect’s work. The challenge was to craft a brand that could grow with the organisation—retaining a warm, community-first tone while introducing a more professional, impactful visual presence.
The Insight
The name “Veranda” evokes a place of shelter, dialogue, and connection. It felt like a natural foundation. We built on this by exploring how energy, protection, and human connection could be visually represented—bridging cultural meaning with contemporary visual language.
Visual Identity System
We developed a logo with dual symbolism: the inner circle representing a core of energy, and the rectangular block nodding to both a veranda and solar panels. Motion and radiance were key themes, creating a logo that feels both grounded and forward-moving. The colour palette blended earthy greens with a pop of solar amber, reflecting both sustainability and warmth.

PS: The overall project also included the design of a new website and the production of a brand film, though these were delivered by separate teams.
